Welcome to my Plein Air page, I will add paintings as they become available first as a view from the location and then once dried and varnished they will become available for sale in a separate gallery via a link.
Currently sizes are 10x8inches as this gives me time to get what I need onto the canvas before the light or weather conditions change. The panels are either MDF with birch veneer or birch ply 5/6mm, they are sealed and canvas is applied to one side. I use archival glue, the same as used in restoration work, the canvas is 12 oz cotton duck. All panels are prepared by me, once the cotton is glued, its sealed and three coats of gesso are applied before a ground of Burnt Sienna, then they're ready to head to into the field..
